Corning NY- Unleash the Kraken...may be the motto for Corning Hawks boys lacrosse. Tuesday night at Memorial Stadium the Hawks ripped off five first half goals enroute to a 12-4 decision over previously undefeated Seton Catholic. David Grimaldi got things started on a feed from Kyle Clarkson, then added his second goal of the game a short time later after Tanner Morse buried a shot to make it 2-0. Morse finished as the scoring leader with three goals and an assist. All total, nine Hawks players figured in the scoring as the team played without Jake Woodhouse, the team's leading scorer, who was hospitalized for treatment of a collapsed lung. Corning travels to Chenango Forks Thursday then returns to host Bishop Timon (Buffalo) on Saturday.
