Gang Mills NY- The coaches jokingly referred to Wednesday's meeting as the "Thrilla in Gang Milla" prior to the Corning Hawks/Union Endicott softball game. And, it turned out to be high drama! Two aces were on the mound, Rachel Mouillesseaux for the Tigers, and Corning's Quincy Lewis. It was a pitching duel thru the first three innings, then both teams scored a run each in the fourth. UE plated the go ahead run in the fifth, leading 2-1. Quincy Lewis sparked a Hawk uprising in the bottom of the inning when, with two outs, she parked a solo homerun in deep centerfied to tie the game. Chaylen Andolino followed with a single up the middle and was driven home by Hailey Blencowe's double with what proved to be the winning run. Quincy Lewis picked up the win and struck out eight batters. Corning will travel to Horseheads next Monday looking to avenge an earlier season loss and try to take over first place in conference.
